All PWCS Schools Closed Wednesday, February 10 on Code Red
All Prince William County Public Schools will be closed Wednesday, February 10, on Code Red. The School Age Care Program will not open.

Superintendent Presents Proposed FY2011 Budget
Reduced funding, increased student enrollment equal $79 million gap for FY2011. Dr. Steven L. Walts, Superintendent of Schools, presented his proposed budget for next year at the Feb. 3 School Board meeting. Read more.
Robotics Event Rescheduled
The Western Division Vex Robotics Qualifier scheduled for January 30 at Benton Middle School has been rescheduled for February 13.

Principal's Night
Parents and Guardians,
You are invited to join us for an evening with our Principal, Dr. Benita Stephens. Principal's Night will involve looking at your child's data to include test scores, attendance, grades, etc... Come find out where PTMS is with Adequate Yearly Progress and State Accreditation. Mark your calendar for Thursday, February 18, 2009 at 7:00pm, here at Potomac Middle School. Principal's Night requires an RSVP, so remember to RSVP your child's school counselor. We look forward to seeing you on Principal's Night.
Sports Physicals
Please be reminded that each student must have a sports physical in order to try out for any sport. Sports physicals must be dated after May 1, 2009 to be valid for participation in 2009-2010 team sports. Sports physicals are also needed for cheerleading, dance and step team. A sports physical is different from a school entrance exam.

School Fusion/Edulink InTouch - Parent Accounts
Parents will need to
create a new account
for the 2009-2010 school year.
Accounts from 2008-9 are deleted.
This new account will allow you to connect to your students even if they attend different schools and will continue to work when they move to different schools in our county.
To create an account you will need to pick up your Parent "Passcode" Letter from Potomac Middle School during regular school hours. To pick up a passcode letter you must be listed in the Student Information System as a parent or guardian and will need a picture ID. You must pick up your Parent Passcode Letter in person. Passcode or account information cannot be given over the phone or in an e-mail.
School Fusion keeps you up to date with what your student should currently be doing in classes by connecting you to their class pages and teachers. Edulink InTouch allows you to see exactly what grades your student has in each class and to verify your student's records.
