BUS INFORMATION

Beginning this year, post cards with bus stop information will be mailed to the homes of all students using regular school buses. Students who require special transportation services will be directly notified of their bus arrangements by (name of your school).

Bus schedules will also be posted on the Office of Transportation Services’ Web site (pwcs.edu/departments/transport) beginning Monday, August 18. In addition to viewing these schedules on the Web site, parents can also obtain a printed copy in our main office.

6th Gr. Beginning Band Instrument Fittings

All 6th grade band students will need to be "fitted" or "tryout" the different band instruments so they may select what instrument they are best suited to play.

These instrument fittings will be held on Tuesday, August 26th & Thursday, August 28th from 5:30 - 8:30 PM in the PTMS Band Room
No Appointments are necessary
Please Do Not Rent or Purchase an instrument until your student has been seen by Mr. Prentiss.

       Two 9¾-inch x 7½-inch single composition book with ruled paper

       Glue stick (2)

       Highlighters (3)

       #2 pencils

       Blue and black ink pens

       Red ink pen

       Box of markers

       Supply pouch for 3-ring binder or pencil box

       Three packages of notebook paper (wide-ruled)

       Small to medium sized book bags. No book bags on wheels!

       Calculator (Purchase in school store for $8) (Approved for Virginia’s Standard of Learning (SOL) Assessment) or borrow from school.

       Protractor

       5 subject notebooks (3)

General School Supply List 2008-2009 School Year

Open House – 6:00-7:00 p.m. Students are invited to find their Core I class and tour the school building.

Physicals – 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the gym. (doors will close at 7:00 p.m.). $30.00 (cash only). You are reminded that everyone must have a physical in order to try out for any sport. Physicals must be dated after May 1, 2008 to be valid for participation in 2008-09 team sports.

New Student Orientation–6:30p.m. Students who registered in August and students who missed 6th grade orientation.

Order your 2009 Panther Pride Yearbook for $40....add a picture on the cover for an additional $10. See Dr. Bumstead at the open house.
