PWCS All-County Honors Orchestra

Congratulations to the following Orchestra students who auditioned and were selected to participate in the PWCS All-County Middle School Honors Orchestra Event that will be held at Battlefield HS on February 19th & 20th. These students are:

8th Grader - Kayla McDonald - Viola
7th Grader - Heather Santos - 2nd Violin

Winter Concert Dates Announced

The students in the music department have been working hard preparing for the up coming winter concert season. All concerts are free, open to the public and will be held at 7 PM in the Potomac Middle School gymnasium on the following dates:

Wednesday, December 2^nd – 8^th grade Winter Concert
Wednesday, December 9^th – 7^th Grade Winter Concert
Wednesday, December 16^th – 6^th Grade Winter Concert

PWCS All-County Honors Choir

Congratulations to the following 8^th grade choir students who were invited to participate in the PWCS All-County Honors Choir Event that will be held at Forest Park HS on October 23^rd & 24^th. These students are:

Soprano: Anna Bonsu, Brianna Jackson, Ilsa Dulle (Gabriela Salazar – Alternate)

Alto: Brianna Chamberlain, Abeena Asare, Josselyn Vela (Hannah Amo – Alternate)

Tenor: Juwan Robinson, Ian Snow (Jonathon Fair – Alternate)

Bass: Souleymane Balde, Lawrence Gomes (Joshua Pili – Alternate)

Marching Middle Panthers
The 8^th grade band traveled to Potomac High School on October 3^rd for 8^th grade Night with the Potomac High School Marching Band. The students had the opportunity to perform fight songs with the marching band in the stands during the first half of the Potomac vs. Hylton football game.

Orchestra Attends Barrage Performance

The 8^th Grade Orchestra Students traveled to Spotsylvania Middle School on September 28^th to attend a performance of the string ensemble Barrage. Barrage is a high energy fiddling ensemble consisting of five violins, guitar, bass and drums. Their performance is as much visual as it is musical. The students had the opportunity to speak with the performers and get autographs after the show.
